To browse Academia. The purpose of this study is to examine the role in increasing poverty of the Covid virus. The pandemic brings about impoverishment in many countries around the world. With the epidemic, the world is moving into a new order. We are entering a period in which digitalization important place in our lives, online transactions increase to reduce contact, and socialization decreases. The study aims to take measures against possible adverse situations by evaluating the Covid virus, its impact on daily life, its impact on the economy, education, and increasing poverty. What changes has the Covid virus caused? Does a successful policy implement in Turkey in the fight against viruses? How did the virus affect industries economically? Has the virus increased impoverishment? Does the poverty cause by the virus temporary or permanent poverty? This study has reached the following conclusion. After the pandemic, society changed in many ways, and technology has gradually increased and has taken a great place in our lives. The virus has adversely affected all segments of society and all sectors, causing an increase in impoverishment. Çok çeşitli mücadele yöntemleri ile üstesinden gelinmeye çalışılan bu sorunda istenilen başarı elde edilememektedir. Bu çalışmada yoksullukla mücadelenin en etkin araçlarından olan sosyal yardımların yoksulluk üzerindeki etkisi incelenmektedir. Yoksulluk kavramı ve tanımları, yoksulluk ölçütleri, yoksulluk mücadelede sosyal yardım türleri ve uygulayıcıları bu doğrultuda açıklanmaya çalışılmaktadır. Çalışmada son olarak OECD ülkelerinin sosyal koruma harcamaları Türkiye ile karşılaştırılarak sunulmaktadır. İncelemede Türkiye'de sosyal yardımların yoksullukla mücadelede etmekten çok yoksulluğun etkilerini hafifletmeye yönelik uygulamalar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuca ulaşmak için literatür taraması yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda akademik yayınlar, kurum ve kuruluşların yayınları, istatistikler, politika belgeleri ile mevzuat ve kanunlar incelenerek yazın oluşturulmuştur.
